Indigenous Learning

Fanshawe’s Institute of Indigenous Learning provides a supportive community space for First Nations, Métis, and Inuit learners, offering cultural, spiritual, academic, social, and recreational support. Students have access to a welcoming lounge and study area, a computer lab, peer tutoring and mentoring, cultural activities, and staff who can help with academic planning, career questions, and personal guidance.

Indigenous students and applicants can also receive help with the admissions process, including optional self-identification, academic upgrading if needed, and guidance on funding or sponsorship opportunities. Fanshawe additionally offers awards and leadership opportunities that recognize and support Indigenous students in their educational journey.
